Vintage bar stool Blue Duplex Memphis by Javier Mariscal for BD Barcelona 80s

A fantastic bar stool designed by Javier Mariscal for the Bar Dúplex in Valencia in 1980. The Duplex bar stool is an iconic example of 1980s and postmodern design and was manufactured by BD Ediciones de Diseno, Barcelona. Three steel legs (one chromed and wavy, one straight chromed and one blue lacquered with a wide arch), a chromed footrest and an off-centre white stretcher support the leather-covered seat. Mariscal's unique and contemporary furniture designs led to an invitation to participate in a Memphis Design exhibition in Milan in 1981. Very good vintage condition.
