Vintage Thonet Bauhaus Armchair Breuer Armchairs Leather S 35 L

Very rare armchair from the Bauhaus period by Thonet. A rare original piece, probably from the 50s/60s. Tubular steel, black leather.

Marcel Breuer presented this design in 1930 in the Grand Palais in Paris as a contribution from the German Werkbund. A classic of Bauhaus design.

The armchair has been refurbished. The leather is still intact, no deep cracks, age-related patina. The leather straps at the bottom have been replaced.
